Course Information

If you answer No to any of these questions, Linux Networking course is for you:

  • Can you use your Linux box as a router and do you know exactly how to do routing?
  • Can you set-up one network card with many IP's?
  • Can you supply your network machines (including Windows machines) with IP addresses when they start up and while you are at it supply them with the default gateway, name servers and time servers?
  • Can you set-up all the major Linux services like e-mail, web servers, DNS, etc.?
  • Can you see who surfs the net, what sites do they surf too and how often?
  • Do you know how to manage your servers securely remotely?
  • Can you split a class C network into smaller networks with netmasks?
  • Do you know topics like netmasks, gateways, time servers etc.?

Above is just a small sample of what you will master in the Networking Course. If you are thinking training can not be a lot of fun this course will change your mind. You will set-up sub networks in course and build a Linux router with 3 network cards to join the sub nets. There are many more practice, “getting hands dirty” exercises to de-mystify not only Linux but advanced networking as well. The secrets of Linux and networking will be peeled away right in front of your eyes, layer by layer and you will think: “hey, and I thought this is difficult”.
