6 Months internship at an Open Source related company. |

|
| Curriculum: |
The full training academy curriculum can be found HERE. |
| |
In short the student will be trained in Linux basic administration, Linux
networking, Linux network services (mail servers, file servers, web servers
etc.), security and BASH scripting. |
| |
| Practicals and additional
modules: |
The difference compared to our classroom training is that we have a
lot of hours available for practicals. We will also include some topics
not available in classroom training like building an Asterisk PABX system.
The practicals however are the big difference. The students will configure
real servers that are hooked up to the Internet. Each academy has 4 live
Internet servers so that the students can get the full practical experience
needed to administer real live servers. The configurations of these servers
are done over and over again by the students and different set-ups and
scenarios will be practiced.
Having one server acting as a spam trap forwarding non spam mail to another
server for collection and redistributing mails to mailboxes locally as
well as mailboxes on yet another server is the type of practicals the
students will do. |
